Бидний тухай

Монголын эрэн сурвалжлах сурвалчлагчдын төлөө төв нь Монголын хэвлэл мэдээллийн салбар дахь бие даасан, мэргэжлийн, ашгийн төлөө бус байгууллага юм. Бид чанартай сэтгүүл зүйг хөгжүүлэх замаар иргэдийн оролцоог сайжруулж, ардчилалд хувь нэмэр оруулахын төлөө ажилладаг. Сэтгүүлчдийг болон редакцуудыг чадавхжуулах хөтөлбөр хэрэгжүүлэх, олон улсын хамтын ажиллагааг дэмжих байдлаар бид олон нийтийн эрх ашигт нийцсэн эрэн
сурвалжлах сэтгүүл зүйн бүтээлүүдийг хийж байна.

Үйл ажиллагааны чиглэл:

  • Хүний эрхийн зөрчил, төсвийн үргүй зардал, олон нийтийн аюулгүй байдалд заналхийлсэн асуудлаар эрэн сурвалжлах сэтгүүл зүйн бүтээл гаргах
  • Эрэн сурвалжлах сэтгүүл зүйн чиглэлээр редакцуудыг чадавхжуулах Залуу сэтгүүлчдийг интерншип хөтөлбөрт хамруулж, эрэн сурвалжлах сэтгүүл зүйгээр мэргэшүүлэх
  • Монголын хэвлэл мэдээллийн салбарт эрэн сурвалжлах болон шийдлийн сэтгүүл зүйн сайн туршлага, арга барилыг нэвтрүүлэх, хөгжүүлэх
  • Сэтгүүл зүйн чанарыг сайжруулах зорилгоор хэвлэл мэдээллийн мониторинг, судалгаа хийж, үйл ажиллагаа зохион байгуулах

Бид аливаа компани, улстөрч, засгийн газрын нөлөөнд автахгүй, зөвхөн олон нийтийн эрх ашгийн төлөө ажиллана. Гэвч эрэн сурвалжлах сэтгүүл зүйн бүтээл нь цаг, мөнгө, шаргуу хөдөлмөр шаарддаг билээ. Иймд, манай редакц хараат бус байдлаа хадгалж, илүү хүчтэй болоход таны дэмжлэг чухал юм!

Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters

The Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters (MCIR) is a non-profit organization  dedicated to improving the quality of journalism as a vital support for our nation’s democracy by supporting journalists and engaging and empowering the public through groundbreaking storytelling. The MCIR produces public interest investigations and offers training and mentorship for journalists, builds regional and cross-border collaborations between investigative reporters. 

Our key activities:

  • Producing quality investigative journalism stories focused on human rights violations, misuse of taxpayer money and threats to public safety; 
  • Capacity building for newsrooms on investigative journalism; 
  • Training and coaching young journalists through internship programs;
  • Promoting best practices and techniques on investigative and solutions journalism in the Mongolian media sector;
  • Conducting media monitoring and research, organizing activities in order to improve the quality of journalism in Mongolia.

OUR TEAM:

Tamir Tsolmonbaatar

Tamir is a co-founder and Executive Director at the Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters. Prior joining MCIR, he worked at the Press Institute of Mongolia as a head of training department for 6 years. During this time, he coordinated a project on investigative journalism with DW Akademie’s support, which was run from 2015 to 2017.

Tamir also actively contributed to establishing Media Council of Mongolia and plays an important role in promoting ethical journalism and fighting fake news in Mongolia. He successfully implemented dozens of media and communication development trainings, research projects and programs. Tamir also hosts “Uur Infotainment” talk show at the leading Mongolian ETV, which aims to promote media literacy by providing different views from experts and public figures on highlighted news stories.

Chimeddondog Tsegmid

Chimeddondog is a co-founder and Story Editor for Investigations at the Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters. He started his career as a journalist at the Mongolian National Broadcaster in 1994. Since 2001, Chimeddondog worked at the Press Institute of Mongolia as a journalism trainer and implemented dozens of training programs and assisted hundreds of journalists in improving their professionalism.
Chimeddondog also was involved in a project on investigative journalism with DW Akademie’s support, which was run from 2015 to 2017 and became an investigative journalism trainer. He is an ethical journalism advocate and actively contributed to the establishing Media Council of Mongolia, currently serving as a vice chairman of the Ethical Council of the organization. 

Amartuvshin Amarsaikhan

Amartuvshin is an Editor of Data Journalism at the Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters. She started her career as an environmental journalist at the Green Channel TV studio, produced more than 100 documentaries focused on agriculture and environment issues. 
Amartuvshin then worked at the Press Institute of Mongolia as a journalism trainer for 6 years and became a head of the training department. During that time she was running a Club of Environmental Journalists that focused on encouraging journalists on ethical, research based investigations on environmental issues. Amartuvshin is an ethical journalism advocate and actively contributed to the establishing Media Council of Mongolia.

Suvdantsetseg Tsagaanbaatar
She joined Mongolian Center for Investigative Reporters in October, 2018. Before joining the MCIR, she worked as a journalist at mining magazine and covered mining related news and articles. Early in her career, she was a coordinator for National Geographic magazine’s Mongolian edition and researcher focuses on Northeast Asian security issues at Strategic Institute of Mongolia, and other several research projects. Later, based on her research skills, she found interest to work in journalism sector. She hopes to contribute to social progress in Mongolia through her works by using her background in international economic relations and journalism.
